Autumn Term       

The Byrds will be rehearsing an interesting mix of chamber choir repertoire however, at this point, we do not anticipate giving a  public performance of these works.

William Byrd: Sing joyfully    

Keith Orrell: From harmony, from heavenly harmony (first performance)

Benjamin Britten: Hymn to St Cecilia                   

George Dyson: To music                

Edward Elgar: There is sweet music, O wild west wind

arr. Stephen Wilkinson: The lark in the clear air

Vaughan Williams: Serenade to music       

Stephen Wilkinson: L’envoi (Byrds commissioned piece - first performance)


The programme will also include violin and piano accompaniment and ensemble pieces including Vaughan Williams: The Lark Ascending

Our anticipated performance of JS Bach Matthäus Passion (sung in German) will now take place on Saturday the 2nd of April 2022 at the Manchester Stoller Hall featuring:

Choir of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Hindsford, Atherton (ripieno choir)
